Jean Kacou Diagou, the President of CGECI and FOPAO, as well as the Founder, Chairman and Group CEO of NSIA, is a prominent business figure in Ivory Coast. He was ranked as Marcopolis' #1 most powerful business leader in the country.
Jean Kacou Diagou is the President of CGECI (Confédération Générale des Entreprises de Côte d’Ivoire), the General Confederation of Enterprises of Ivory Coast, which unites professional groups, unions and labour associations in the industry, trade, services and agriculture sectors
He is also the President of FOPAO (Fédération des Organizations Patronales de l'Afrique de l'Ouest), the Federation of West Africa Employer's Associations.
In 1995, Mr. Diagou also built up an insurance company that is present in a dozen African countries. He bought out an Ivorian subsidiary of AGF and renamed the company NSIA (Nouvelle Société Interafricaine d'Assurance), of which he is Chairman and Group CEO. It is now the leading insurance group in French-speaking West and Central Africa.
