Top Telecoms in Côte d'Ivoire
According to the Global Information Readiness Report, Côte d'Ivoire is ranked 113 out of 138 countries. Despite the post-electoral crisis, the telecommunication and ICT sector is poised to record double digit growth within the next few years. The mobile penetration in Côte d'Ivoire is close to 70%; there are 15-16 million mobile subscribers compared to 300,000 fixed line subscribers. There are five major mobile telecom operators: Incumbent Côte d'Ivoire Telecom/Orange CI, MTN CI, Comium (KOZ), Moov (société du groupe Atlantique), and GreenN (appartient au groupe Lybia Africa Portfolio LAP). Additionally, there are two mobile licences (the telecoms are not active on the market). Internet penetration has been hampered by high costs and by Côte d'Ivoire. The country is expected to receive its first 3G licence at the end of 2011. The vision of the regulator for the market is to cut back on the number of telecom companies and to create 3-4 integrated/converged telecom companies that offer multiple services.

Top Agriculture Companies in Côte d'Ivoire
Traditionally, agricultural exports constituted one of the main sources of revenue for the world's largest exporter of coco. Agriculture is the most important sector in Côte d'Ivoire. Agriculture represents almost 28%-35% of the GDP and employs around 60% of the active population. The sector is dominated by a majority of small scale farmers and a few agricultural aggregators.
One of the main problems of Ivorian agriculture was that when the state's share started to decline in 1981, the state’s contribution was 25% of the national budget. But in 2007, it was only 1.7%. The government's strategy is to jumpstart this sector again. In the future, the country would like to develop a functioning processing industry to export in the sub-region. Furthermore, agriculture will be a tool in the socio-economic development of the country. Côte d'Ivoire exports coco, coffee, cotton, palm oil, cashew nuts, bananas, coconuts, and rubber.

Top Banks in Côte d'Ivoire
Côte d'Ivoire's banking sector is less sophisticated than the European banking sector. The latter sector consists of a range of financial institutions, including retail and wholesale banks, specialized banks, insurance companies, finance companies, investment advisors, money changers, insurance brokers, and securities brokers.
As a former French colony, Côte d'Ivoire has a strong presence of French banks. There are 23 banks in Côte d'Ivoire, including international banks, regional banks, and private banks. There is a huge potential for growth as the banking services penetration rate in Côte d'Ivoire and UEMOA is close to 8%. The market is still dominated by cash transactions, but the future trend is leaning towards electronization of the Ivorian Banking sector.
